Phil Winter Business Editor at Hull Daily Mail visits Luxinar

Phil was welcomed by Russell Jeynes, Operations Director, who led the tour of the facility, gave an overview of the production, service and engineering departments, as well as a brief insight into some of the ongoing R&D innovations.

Phil Winter said:

“ Safe to say the technology blew my mind. Staggering that so many commuters will pass the building every day, and have no idea of the world-class manufacturing that goes on inside."

Paul Bell Head of Economic Development at East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Liz Johnson Business Development Manager at Hull University were shown the innovations taking place at Luxinar. They  were impressed by the high level of cleanliness throughout the factory, a sterile environment being essential as part of laser production. Both were fascinated to discover that

post production the lasers are shipped globally to a diverse range of industries from fashion to automotive manufacturing,

making Luxinar a key business in the production of lasers worldwide.

Paul Bell said:

"What fascinated me was the use of lasers for the production line, it's phenomenal really in terms of the speed it operates at."
